FPH (Federally Accredited) Postgraduate Pharmacist
Since 1 January 2018, pharmacists have been required to hold a federal postgraduate qualification (art. 36 of the Medical Professions Act) in order to obtain authorisation to practise their profession in a private capacity under their own professional responsibility and to invoice their services to the compulsory health insurance scheme (AOS).
Postgraduate training in pharmacy provides the opportunity to acquire, through theory and practice, the specific knowledge, aptitudes, abilities, social skills and personality to practise as an independent and autonomous pharmacist. In addition, it enables the community pharmacist to act according to the current rules in pharmaceutical and medical sciences and to anticipate future developments.
**Duration: 2–5 years
**Format: in-person/online
**Target audience: newly qualified pharmacists, pharmacists with a non-Swiss qualification
